Ms. Nutt began her career in education in 2009 as an instructional assistant in an Autism Program. After two years in this role and completing her bachelor’s degree in psychology, she pursued a master’s degree in Special Education at Shenandoah University and began teaching. Ms. Nutt taught Special Education until 2022, when she transitioned into teaching Science—a subject she is passionate about. She also holds licensure from the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) to teach mathematics.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Nutt enjoys yoga, photography, reading, binge-watching shows, exploring technology, and building things. Most of all, she loves spending time with her two sons, who are in first and fourth grade, along with their many dogs and cats.
