In 2009, Ms. Nutt started her career in education as an instructional assistant in an Autism Program. After two years as an instructional assistant, Ms. Nutt started her Masters in Special Education at Shenandoah University and began teaching. Ms. Nutt taught Special Education until 2022, when she decided to make the move to Science! Ms. Nutt loves science and mathematics (which she is also licensed to teach by the VDOE). When she isn't at school, she enjoys yoga, photography, reading, binge-watching shows, playing with technology, building things, and spending time with her two little boys and all their dogs and cats.
Hands-on experiments are Ms. Nutt's favorite part about teaching science. And sometimes we invite administration to join us in the fun!
Ms. Nutt also enjoys volunteering her time for school activities (like the Zombie Run) because she loves seeing her students in and out of the classroom.
